(5) Confer with attorney and discuss threatened or pending litigation or settlement of same: Atmos (2012 rate case) Burch; Zambrana; Torres; APM, MH. West and SPS 2014 Rate Case;

2. | ORDINANCE NO. 7505: This item conducts a public hearing on and considers the second and final reading of an ordinance renewing the designation of Reinvestment Zone No. 7, which encompasses the Amarillo Economic Development Corporation's Centerport Industrial Park, located in northeast Amarillo. This Zone was originally designated in February, 2010 and any such designation must be considered for renewal every five (5) years. The renewal of this Reinvestment Zone is necessary to allow for future consideration of possible property tax abatements for commercial and industrial businesses located in the Zone. Renewal of this designation does not grant a property tax abatement or amend any existing abatement agreements. Renewal of the designation continues the eligibility of the area for future consideration of an abatement(s) should such be presented. |
3. | CONSENT AGENDA: It is recommended that the following items be approved and that the City Manager be authorized to execute all documents necessary for each transaction: |
A. Award - FPX Nano X-ray System:
Award to sole source provider: ADS, Inc. -- $82,800.00
This item approves the purchase of two x-ray machines, displays and software for the Amarillo Police Department Bomb Squad. Funding for the purchase is available from a Homeland Security Grant and seized funds.
B. Interlocal Cooperation Contract for Electronic Court and Related Documents:
Parties: Panhandle Regional Planning Commission and City of Amarillo
Cost: $250 annual activation fee and $2.50 per use for the first 500 uses with declining per unit costs thereafter
This item approves an Interlocal agreement with the Panhandle Regional Planning Commission (PRPC) to access an electronic system to provide the capability to electronically handle documents used to file cases, complaints and request search warrants. The PRPC will function as the service provider and will offer this service to other law enforcement and judicial agencies, thus reducing the total overall cost of the system to each agency. Use of this system increases efficiency, accuracy and speed of acquiring, filing and approving necessary judicial documents by the Amarillo Police Department. Funding for the agreement and services is available within the approved Police Department operating budget.
C. Approval - Airport Task Order No. 1:
RS&H, Inc. -- $217,500
This item approves task order number 1 under the recently approved Airport On-Call Engineering and Architectural Services agreement. Task Order No. 1 under this five-year agreement is to develop a pavement condition index, pavement management program, pavement classification number analysis and related items. The results of this project will be used to evaluate and prioritize future pavement needs at the Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport. Funding is available from Airport and FAA funds.

Amarillo City Hall is accessible to individuals with disabilities through its main entry on the south side (Southeast 7th Avenue) of the building. An access ramp leading to the main entry is located at the southwest corner of the building. Parking spaces for individuals with disabilities are available in the south parking lot. City Hall is equipped with restroom facilities, communications equipment and elevators that are accessible.
